     In October 2004 with the support of “AMEC” company at the department “Automatics, telemechanics and electronics” educational laboratory “Informational technologies” with 20 computers and other accessories with Internet switch on were created.

      From November 16 up to December 7, 2004 the 53-rd Scientific Conference of students devoted to “The National Revival Day” was held. The plenary meeting was announced open by the chairman of organizing committee professor Siyavush Qarayev, the member of correspondence NASA where later the Minister of Education Misir Mardanov and graduating students of ASOA in 1959, the general director of Production Unification “Geophysics and Engineering Geology”, Professor Kerim Kerimov congratulated students and wished success the participants of conference.




      The reports have been introduced to the conference: 291 of them were bachelor students’ and 85 were masterate students’. The students introducing with interesting was 58 students, have been honored with Organizing Committee diplomas, and were awarded with presents and money reward by general sponsor-joint enterprise “Azercell” and companies: “Landmark”, “Emerson Process Management”, “Total”, “Siemens” and “Unocal”.

      On May 24 -26, 2004, the 2-nd post graduates and young researches scientific conference devoted to “Republic Day” was held.
      The plenary sitting was announced open by the chairman of organized committee, member of correspondence of NASA, professor Siyavush Qarayev.




      Vice –minister of education, doctor of the historical sciences Irada Huseynova, and graduating student of ASOA in 1952, director of Oil Chemistry Process Institute of NASA, academician Musa Rustamov congratulated the conference participants. Then at the sitting of 7 sections which lasted during 2 days 62 reports of young researchers have been listened independent experts.

      Seven of them have been awarded with the diplomas of the first degree and with mobile telephones by joint venture enterprise sponsors “Azercell Telecom”, two of them have been awarded with the diplomas of the 2-nd degree and with the presents from “Siemens”. By the assistance of “Emerson Process Management” and “Halliburton” 62 reports have been published as collection consisted of 312 pages.
